CEEBLA means ( lack of shame) is a project for GBV gender based violence and VAW violence against women is telecom 24 hours standby operation system where every person access with nation link telecom Somali line and mobile phone can communicate. the network is really supportive and preventive of GBV and VAw in Somalia
the network uses easy code 5555 that can be dialled every person access nation link telecom in urban and rural l areas. the program was launched October this years 2015 by group Somali gender activist who initiated the formation of the network
Mss. Amina speaking to people in high meeting for human rights civil society session in mogadsihu on Saturday 15 November 2015 has deeply detailed the advantages of the CEELBLA network. she said so far we have many calls that some of them has worked the protection of GBV cases, and cases provided respond after the victim call
CEELBLA provides all people both prevention and respond for the victims through information sharing in the rights time. we found call from Jowhar were young girl missed here family was reported our line from Jowhar town in the Middle Shabelle and CEELBLA managed the connection with nearest media that make missing persons broadcast program where the young girl was integrated with here family in hours.
CEELBLA has respond prevention case reported by female when man tried to raid the home of female who was alone in her home when he asked where about here husband and neighbouring female called CEEBLA and have passed the information to the nearest police station that provided protection the women from the man.
CEELBLA has respond to call from pregnant women in mid night where we have called and connected ambulance service to bring delivery hospital. we have also helped many other women conflict with their husbands and families
CEELBLA project is funded by Somali GBV working local NGOs with main initiatives of SWDC and the line is now open for all people in need of GBV and VAW prevention and respond in Somalia. so for October and November we served 20 cases through CEEBLA, from different sources and places mostly refugees and displaced people in the camps and in villages
Mss. Amina Arale working SWDC Somali women development centre said alone one month we have 74 GBV cases in Somalia as general report where 54 passed legal work and police security certification. we work official with local authorities and police stations far from duplications of the cases.
