On Sunday 12 October 2019 Somalia ministry of human rights and women development launched national disability bill that will be drafted and bring the federal government of Somalia parliament house of the people and the upper house to be national law officially serving the protection and promotion of the disabled people lives and rights
The launching ceremony and consultation was opened by the ministry of the human rights and the women development in Somalia. Participated more than 50 persons from the disabled people and their organizations, legal expert, disability law expert , the director of the ministry human rights and women development and ministry of the labor
The disabled people, the expert and the ministries expressed the importance of the national disability draft bill which will be national disability act after conclusion of the work process and procedures of the Somalia bill imitation and draft .
Mrs. Deko Yasin the ministry of human rights and women development talking to the media told she doing active work for the Somalia PWDs persons with disability national act as well as the national disability agency which is in a process. This bill will give the disability full rights in the country the protection and participation of public service and the political in Somalia
she added the disability act is law that will give the disability people more rights in the country., which we will work with the stakeholders government institutions like the key ministries providing public goods, federal states and Banadir region local authority and the DPOs disabled people organization and the civil society as well as the international community and donors interesting to support Somalia disability people
Mr. Sadik Warfa the ministry of labor and social thanked the participants of the event and thanked to the Deka Yasin for her outstanding roe of disability rights and ratification of CRPD and Disability agency, and her role for the ministry of labor the technical facilitation of the Somalia debt relief the international labor union seat somalia membership fees. i promise to work with here for the employment of the persons with disabilities. finally i see today national disability right bill initiation launching ceremony.
Ali Abdullahi Sald the Chairperson of national disability council thanked to the ministries and participants in the meeting where he praised the role of Mrs. Deko Yasin for her work and the empowerment of the disability, i see hop yester it was national disability agency law, CRPD and now national disability act bill which will be law in the near future

Mr. Abdullahi Hassan Hussein the chair persons of the Disability Cluster and member CBR Somalia Board thanked to the all participants with their titles and role in the meeting. i again i thank to the Minister Deko for her work putting the disability rights visible and high in local and international. the disability agency law, signing the CRPD and the start of national disability act are all move to wards the strengthening disabled people rights advocacy governmental level. we also thank the Somalia disability people rights mentioned in international conferences. we hope to see progress in the local implementation the CRPD and disability laws .
