On Saturday 12 December 2020 in Mogadishu Commemoration of 16 days activism end the GBV in Somalia is held in Primo palace hotel organized by SWCCA Somali women child care association with Somali women children cluster funded by the UNDP and UNSOM through JPHR
The panel discussion is participated 25 persons from civil society, DPOs and federal government of Somalia ministries the women and human rights, constitutional affairs and humanitarian aid, and legal experts working the human rights protection in Somalia.
The panel discussion was three persons each taking issues concerning the GBV. The participants asked questions the panellist their role for the protection of the young girls in boys from the sexual violence against the innocent. The first day the participants focused the monitoring and reporting the GBV in the country
All parts supported the idea to organize national team working the prevention of the GBV from rural and urban areas with cooperation of the civil society, international community, federal state and federal government of Somalia.
Somalia has witnessed waves of GBV in the last years that shacked the people in the regions and the large towns of the country where tens cases of rape against young girls and assassinations made by perpetrators against te human rights and the national penal code and justice some cased has been brought in front of the justice while some other cases has not been brought in front of the justices.
joint effort made the SWCCA Somali women child care association with Somali women children cluster raised awareness the GBV against the children and females in the country. where many parents stop sending their female children to schools that raised arming young girls education dropouts. where we provide the families to take actions to insure the security and safety of the girl students with guardian or protector
