international white cane day 14 October commemoration ceremony is held in Mogadishu for the awareness of the white cane value to the visually impaired persons in Somalia and in the wold. the ceremony was held in Hayat Hotel Mogadishu conference hall participated more than 50 persons mostly visual impaired and PWDs representatives and civil society groups, Somali Football club Benedir Telcom, member of the Universities, former ministries and MP Dahir Amin Jeso.
the participants of the ceremony has presented the importance of the white cane for the blind persons. the program is organized by the SAB Somali Association of Blind and funded by the UNSOm
there is national level football club match between Banadir telecom and Horseed member top Seria A teams in the country that leads general Duad premier league cup. the Banedir sports administration has organised as fund raising matter to support the visually impaired people in the country.
there has been 14 award certificates provides to institutions, organizations and individuals for their contribution to the visual impaired works in Somalia
