On Sunday 05 April 2020 the disabled people took meeting with director of the ministry of the human rain and managing the disaster in the country. The meeting was organised by the disabled people activists and the members of the Somalia disability cluster and the national disability council who informed the director general of the ministry of humanitarian the problems faced the disabled people in the country this time
the DPOs Disabled People Organization complained to the minister exclusive humanitarian work and project in the country where hundreds millions for the humanitarian and development are funded with hundreds local partners NGOs and CBOs that neither of them are DPOs disabled people organizations. mainly OCHA, and other donors supporting Somalia civil society
The burden of the Covidr 19 restrictions has worsened the situation of the PWds persons with disabilities who most of the were daily work wages, beggars in the market, dependent of family care and humanitarian aid from the charitable individuals, groups, companies and NGO based in the country
The holly Ramadan Moth is heading soon where the PWDs will need support from the charitable groups and the aid agencies based in the country. The need for the disability who are more than 20% in the society that need support and food commodity aid for the holly Ramadan.
The emergency support for the covid 19 protection material the mask for face, the gloves for the hands cover and the hand wash for the protection of the disability people who may be vulnerable to the disease. Most of them unable to pay the necessary required materials for the prevention of the disease in the community
