Somalia disabled people consultation meeting held in Mogadishu

Somalia DPOS and Disabled People activists organized meeting in Mogadishu  where  the issue of the disabled people problems were talked. They participants exchanged   more points in the meting masterly the human right abuses against the disability people

The participants of the meetings were from the civil society and the DPOs disabled people organizations. The meeting organized jointly the SDC Somali Disability Cluster( Tubta Dadka Naafada) , Hosted SODEN Somali Disability Empowerment Network  and the coordination of the NDC national disability council where members of the  three networks and DPOs shared to the people key preambles and solution.

Mohamed Ali Faraha Coordination of the meeting opened and made overall introduction of the meeting and the situation of the PWDs in the country from the society,  armed forces and the members of the government politicians who stamp the disability as criminals behind the 24 July deadly attack Banadir region headquarter.  

Mr. Ali Abdullahi Salad  the chairperson of the NDC deeply narrated the work the DPOs in the country and the achieved reached in the last 4 years and the efforts made the last two years the incumbent government of the President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo where national disability agency law is made ans signed and the ratification of the CRPD and other laws which are coming

Mr. Abdullahi Hassan Hussein Moderator of the meeting who made solution of the key problems found in the meeting. The security problems  to be solved with cooperation of the high official of the national security  agencies, the finalization of the national disability the ministry to make  joint consultation with DPOs and make final work plan to be formed the  national disability agency.

Member from the civil society and PWDs made contributions in the meeting which all were very important to the  solution of the soaring problems of the disability people.  Mostly from the youth Clusters, and other civil society and other scholars.
