International Human Rights Day commemoration ceremony 10 december 2018

Somalia disabled people cluster organized commemoration event for the international human right day 10 December 2018 in Mogadishu  held at Hotel Peace participated more than  45 persons from the PWD persons with disabilities, youth, women and students   who all participated the talks and the exchange of the disability rights in Somalia

Aden Hassan Ali deputy Chairperson NDC national disability council opened the event explained to the people what has been going  in the country the last years.  He said we have been working to raise the voices of the PWDs. We thanks our government for their  commitment to support the pWDs and we encourage them to build the trust and unity of the PWDs

Abdullahi Hussein Osman secretary for NDC interior relation  thanked to the all participants and welcomed the effort the government is trying to build national disability authority. He said we  call to the government to make an action for the  what is going there concerns we have that need to be solved

Sheikh Omer deputy NDC thanked to the all participants and the host groups of the event the UNDP and UNSOM. He said we feel very delighted to see the efforts of our government for the national disability agency, we  call to the government to have consultation with key actors of the PWDs and their organization who made collectively the achievements of the PWDs and the foundation of national disability authority long time struggle

Mr. Abdullahi Hassan Chairperson the Somalia disability cluster  said This year the international human rights day is marked many different placed in the world and in Mogadishu alone where more than 5 events is organized by the civil society and the government. This day  the top highlight was PWDs support and protection that the civil society and the government acknowledge
