on Thursday 11 October 2018 Albasir school for the blind organized the commemoration ceremony for the international sight day which is held part of somalia. this event was high held in five star hotel in Mogadishu Al Jazira palace one of the most highest hotel in the country. the event participant where from the civil society, member of the Somalia parliament both upper house and house of people. and some from the ministerial directors.
the student of the Al basir school presented there lectures, songs and comics which was covering the role of the blind people in the community and the mass discrimination in our community. the speech made, song and comics has realized motivated the people in the hall. where most people confessed the importance role for the disabled people in the community.
the director of the social affiars the office of prime minister and the director of the disability of the president made their support to the PWDs and the commitment of the federal state government. where the director of the human rights has thanked to the people organized the event.
Mps from the both chamber of the parliament thanked the commitment of the disabled people particularly the blind people who are learning in school initiated and run by with contribution and management from themselves. MPs Nadir deputy social committee for the upper house and the deputy of human rights committee for the house of people promised to put pressure the government the legislation to pass national disability authority bill which is in front of the parliament of readings.
