on Saturday 27 August 2017 Mrs. Georgette Gagnon United Nation Director of the field operation and technical cooperation division visited in somalia for technical assessment the human rights works in somalia where she had meeting with UNSOM CSO civil society cluster members with Mrs young from the UNSOM human rights section and Mr Abdullahi from the UNDP parliament working team
the meeting was normal part of the UNSOM CSO civil society organization bimonthly meeting held in Mogadishu for human rights works and progress update and report sharing the field working teams and the UNSOM human rights office mogadishu
Mr. Abdullahi from the UNDP somalia office has distributed updated somali constitutional hand book for the member participating the meeting and has made brief outline of the UNDP somalia office and team working with parliament, where he was asked several question for the UNDP work in the country. the participants agree arrangements of joint training
members of the 6 clusters the UNSOM CSO meeting from the Youth, Women/Children, Humanitarian/Development, Journalism and Disabled People who all presented their updated and works for human rights and development the country. Mrs. Georgette has thaked the valuable work underway in the country with very hard condition.
Mr. Abdirnasir has collected from the members opinions and new initiatives for next months workplans for the member groups where they will work as partners organizations with good initiatives that may contribute the human rights, political participation and PWDs persons with disability role
