Somalia People with disabilities week consultation meeting with ministry of the social and labor Mr. Abdiwali Ibrahim Mudey. the meeting were aimed national disability policy implementation in the country.
on Wednesday 8 ct0ber 2015 the ministry had meeting with Somali DPOs and activists working in the country with preliminary consultation meeting about the national disability where the ministry has distributed national disability policy for the participants of the meeting at Hayat Hotel.
on Saturday 10 October 2015 the ministry of the social and labor Mr. Abdiwali, Deputy Ministry Mr. Osman Libah, general aatorney Mr. Mohamed Ali Dahir and other directories’ had meting with 25 persons from the disabled people. the meeting took place in the conference hall of the ministry of social and labor. where more than 10 questions mostly based the rights of the People with disbailites has been asked major three questions were.
1- the importance of the national disability polciey
2- the role of the PWDs people with disbilites in the ministry particllary nomination of disabled persons for one of the six directores of the ministry special the department of the disability and some more other staff.
3- the policy of the national disability development institute and role of the PWds
4- to make some thing tangible for the PWDs in your ministerial time
the ministry has thanked to the PWDs and accepted some of their complaints and expressed new era for the PWds in the ministry where is supposed to propose new staff for the ministry who will be form PWDs. he added that there will not be any monopoly for the rights PWds from today one.
national general attorney thanked to the PWDs for their active mobilization seeking their rights. there some international regulation apart from the policy that should be implemented in the country
on Sunday 11 0ctober 2015 the ministry of the social mr. Abdiwali with some of his directories had launch with PWds in the Hotel Hayat where he has assured close cooperation with all PWDs and make consultation for their rights and decision making
