in the commemoration of the 1 march international wheelchair day yesterday in Mogadishu we found important to prepare the presentation of the tree cycle wheelchair made local .
Mr. Abdullahi Hassan member of the wheelchair society has designed the new innovation for the production of local made wheelchair. this is different from the other wheelchairs available in the country for sale.
this wheelchair is more stronger than other wheelchairs. it’s made of iron box and three tires with hand pedal bicycle paddle . give the user to drive vast, pass the sand easily and turn the cycle wheel side very easily.
the wheelchair is in the first stage managed the production of sample which proved operational in the streets of Mogadishu in Somalia. even the wheelchair will go soon safety and security pass with support technical engineers .
the wheelchair will cost more cheaper then imported foreign design which is not suitable the sand streets in somalia. and the weak body for the irons made and siting bags of the wheelchair weakness to tear up.
the joint venture came with entrepreneurship of Mr. Abdullahi Hassan, technical advice from the Mr. Dadow, Mr. Yusuf all PWd persons with disabilities and members of the wheelchair society
and the logistical support from the Mr. Abdimalik Mohamed Gure, Mr, Yahye Salad Ali, Mr. Saraye.
the workshop and engineer support from the Mr. Hassan Fareey, Mr. Hassan Jagaye and members of the workshop staff who gave us hand with production of the beautiful wheelchair available for use now.
this wheelchair coasted 150 cash and more than that technical logistical support. that made true my dream to use wheelchair with my design.
the idea came when i saw many thing people using produced by other people for merchandise. why not try to produce for my won need and demand product. after three months study the elements made of the wheelchair i realised the possibility to dream my own production. that become true with two months.
this is an idea studded, designed and produced with in five months in mogadishu with local workshop.
