the federal governemnt of Somalia parliament house of the people committee for the human rights take consultation meeting with PWD persons with disabilities and the DPOs disabled people organizations. for the national disability authroity draft bill in the Parlaiment for hearing. the particiapts of the meeting MPs from the house of people chaired by the human rights committee house of the people
the PWDs presented key points for the draft bill amendment and drafting where the PWDs noted the name should be visible with disability and the terms of the agency should be 4 to 5 years, the two top executive should selected with consultation of the PWDs and DPOs. and passed in the same route or procedures. the PWDs should have role in the ministry of the human rights and women which will oversight the agency.
the PWDs all submitted their concern the national election draft bill which is not serving the rights of the PWDs. the disabled people requested from the MPs to arrange round table meeting with independent election committee.
MPs thanked to the PWDs for their contribution and presentation their concern for the agency. Ms. Anab said we will put all efforts to insure the achievements of rights. Ms. Hawo the chairpersons of the impalement committee for the human rights accepted the contribution of the PWDs. this your bill and agency we have respect you rights and role.
