three days conference for somali refugees and displaced people held in Mogadishu organized the ministry of interior participated 200 persons from the civil society, international community and somali governemnt institutions from the cabinet, parliament, office of the president and the local authority has been finished in Mogadishu today.
three days meeting named National Forum Durable Solution for Refugees Returnees and DIPs people problems which has been one of the local problems in the country in front of the federal governemnt. the issue of the refugee and returnees in somalia gotfocus the last year when Kenya has declared mass refugee returnees and the civil war in the Yemen that forced thousands somali flee from there.
there should be national plan for refugee and IDPs resettlement and support which is very hard this time the governemnt has no capacity to deal huge wave of refugees coming back the country. and security problems that making very difficult resettlement the returnees back their origin places.
refugee activist Mrs. Halima Ali Ainte Based in USA has told she is afraid to happen negligence for the rights of the international refugee law and articles. if people those have refugee status in places they resorted for safety , forcibly repatriated back home without basic human needs for life. the shelter, food, water and sanitation.
