the mayor and governor of the Benedir region Mr. Yusuf Moalin offered land to the national independent election committee land 16,080 squre km to build headquarter and operational center they can do their duties.
the head the of independent election committee Mrs Halima Yare as handed over the land which will be built with support of the Japan government, UNSOM and UNDP Somali as well as logistics support from the federal government
Mr. Yusuf said this was public land and will be served as public for the people where the independent election committee will have freedom to do their work independent in the headquarter. now they are operating in the presidential palace where the political parts and presidential election candidates made complaints
this is good step forward where the people will feel that free and fair election may take place in the 2020
