disabled people consultation meeting held in Mogadishu where the participants civil society and member of the DPOs and from the PWDs has discussed the rights of the people with disabilities in the society.\u00a0 member of the PWDs who spoke there repeatedly complained lac of respect and participation for the decision making and public service in the country<\/p>\n

HADF Horn Africa Disability Forum that organized the session has presented there 20 articles PWDs people with disability rights bills which was read there in the conference by Mr. Mohamed Ali Farah the chairperson of the SODEN\u00a0deeply explaining the articles to the participants proposed further information to be added the draft with regarding regional and international disability rights bill.<\/p>\n

Mss. Jihan Ahmed representative of the women solidity Somalia said this is good start for the PWDs rights in Somalia. I encourage you only lobby the participation of the national discussion making organs and table.<\/p>\n

Mrs.\u00a0 Ysmin Mayow. said I thank your preparedness for disability people rights advocacy. its only you may make changes from the wrong actions against the PWDs. I say to you wake and increase your advocacy and voice where every person can hear you well,\u00a0 so you may achieve your rights.<\/p>\n

Mr. Abdirahman From SOSENCA said I am really very glad to participate such this disability people rights advocacy session. I see good work and hope to be successful if you continue. we SOSENCe has been working all parts of human rights including the PWDs rights where we have organized more issues concerning this. and we propose to work with you more closer that ever. we see two mother actors in the flied part from the SODEN \u00a0and this will give united voice.<\/p>\n

Mr. Mohamed Salad member of PWDs said\u00a0 I read it well over and over and has proposed the correction of some articles technical and type error. I see this is good after the national policy where we may gain our rights in the community.<\/p>\n

Mr. Mohamed Khoryoley from SAB said we glad to discuss Somali national disability right bill and the most interesting is that the bill is prepared jointly by groups DPOs, PWDs and lawyers voluntarily. all the articles in the bill of rights gives us right and power and we may assign joint committee that can pave way for correction, redrafting and legalization.<\/p>\n

Mr. Mohamed Lafole said we know that national policy is made only the government and the ministry of the social and labour has brought in the cabinet and we are\u00a0 waiting for that. we need to know the difference between national disability policy and national disability bill.<\/p>\n

Mr. Yusuf shikh ali. said we all need to get strong bill that can protect our rights local and international where we may be in the future well respected. we should make team that can make finalization of the work.<\/p>\n

Mr. Abdifitah Kalgacal journalist said as member of the PWDs in my work of journalism responsible the parliament and government issues for may agency\u00a0where I have \u00a0participated more national decision \u00a0 making conferences and meetings took place in the country.<\/p>\n

this \u00a0is may best one where I see the PWDs talking \u00a0labour the rights and prepared national bill of rights of the PWDs Somalis say ( Biyo Gacmahada Ayaa looga Dhegaa ) its with your hands that lets you drink enough water. I say this is the best way as we PWDs can protect our rights. I have been watching PWDs talking miner issue like humanitarian aid. but is see today more different than that.<\/p>\n

Mrs. Asho said I see this bill has covered more in general the rights of the PWDs and I would like to see the role and rights of the women with disabilities in this bills. women are more vulnerable that men with disabilities where they suffer rape, intimidation, insulting, torture and some times kept in home as slavery. so we would like to see tough articles that can punish all aggressions and crimes against the women with disabilities, we more unfolding in the country and in the society that most of them are not brought the justice.<\/p>\n

Mr. Amhed Hassan from SAB said I could not mention who I ma happy to day as blind persons hearing articles that seeks my rights. this Is the first document I heard to include access of braille and sign languages. in addition, the\u00a0 bills is\u00a0 from the PWDs is feel that we have scholars and leadership that is taking care of our rights. what ever our resource is we should remind our selves to stand together where we can be strong so that this bill s can be operational.<\/p>\n

Mr. Abdullahi Hassan from HADF \u00a0thanked all participant for the contribution and opinions to the national disability rights bill. although most of us acknowledged the need for this bill and the importance for this time. we should aware that bills of rights exist every where and parts in the world. bill youth rights, bill women rights and bill of professional associations that are made by people with their own contributions. the dereference bill is from policy is policy is some thing that come from jointly the government and civilians and passed by the government. while bill is far different fro policy is tool made by civilians for their worn rights. I say we need the cooperation with government and the civil society for this bill.\u00a0 but the reality is that we are not siting for others. already we took steps to open institutions and organizations providing the PWDs public and private service like special need education, advocacy, care, employment and development\u00a0 benefited thousands with cooperation of other partners. in time we know that the president and some ministers had confirmed with moths federal government is not in a position to support people with disability now.<\/p>\n

all in all we are human responsible their rights and requirements. we all DPOs and PWDs should unite to combine \u00a0our recourses\u00a0 knowledge, fund, material and muscle that we can be enough strong, able \u00a0to take care their rights and role in the community.<\/p>\n
