On Sunday 12 October 2019 Somalia  ministry of human rights and women\ndevelopment launched national disability bill that will be drafted and bring the\nfederal government of Somalia parliament \nhouse of the people and the upper house to be national law officially\nserving the protection and promotion of the disabled people  lives and rights <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The launching ceremony and\nconsultation was opened by the ministry of the human rights and the women development\nin Somalia. Participated more than 50 persons from the disabled people and their\norganizations, legal expert, disability law expert , the director of the\nministry human rights and women development and  ministry of the labor  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The disabled people, the expert\nand the ministries expressed the importance of the national disability draft\nbill which will be national disability act after conclusion of the work process\nand procedures of the Somalia bill imitation and draft .  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mrs. Deko Yasin the ministry of human rights and women development  talking to the media told she doing active work for the Somalia PWDs persons with disability national act as well as the national disability agency which is in a process. This bill will  give the disability full rights in the country the protection and participation of public service and the political in Somalia<\/p>\n\n\n\n

she added\u00a0 the disability act is law that will give the disability people more rights in the country.,\u00a0 which we will work with the stakeholders government institutions like the key ministries providing public goods, federal states and Banadir region local authority and the DPOs disabled people organization and the civil society as well as the international community and donors interesting to support Somalia disability people <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Sadik Warfa  the ministry of\nlabor and social thanked the participants of the  event and thanked to the\nDeka Yasin for her outstanding roe of disability rights and ratification of\nCRPD and Disability agency, and her role for the ministry of labor the\ntechnical facilitation of the Somalia debt relief the international labor union\nseat somalia membership fees. i promise to work with here for the employment of\nthe persons with disabilities. finally i see today national disability right\nbill initiation launching ceremony. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ali Abdullahi Sald the Chairperson of\nnational disability council thanked to the ministries and participants in the\nmeeting where he praised the role of Mrs. Deko Yasin for her work and the\nempowerment of the disability, i see hop yester it was national disability\nagency law, CRPD and now national disability act bill which will be law in the\nnear future<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Yusuf Sh Ali Adow secretary general\nnational disability council thanked the minister Deko for her brave work to\ntake care the disability people rights, we see  you as role model for\ndisability who deserve to be awarded her work with noble peace price. welcome\nthe mother of the disability people and the great wall that protects them from\nproblems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Abdullahi Hassan Hussein the chair persons of the Disability Cluster and\u00a0 member CBR Somalia Board thanked to the all participants with their titles and role in the meeting.\u00a0 i again i thank to the Minister Deko for her work putting the disability rights visible and high in local and international. the disability agency\u00a0 law, signing\u00a0 the CRPD and the start of national disability act are all move to wards the strengthening disabled people\u00a0 rights advocacy governmental level. we also thank the Somalia disability people rights mentioned in international conferences. we hope to see progress in the local implementation the CRPD and disability laws .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
