{"id":5092,"date":"2019-08-06T23:04:02","date_gmt":"2019-08-06T20:04:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/somalionlinemedia.com\/?p=5092"},"modified":"2026-04-16T11:38:45","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T11:38:45","slug":"three-days-crpd-community-awareness-and-outreach-finalized-in-mogadishu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/faafitv.com\/?p=5092","title":{"rendered":"Three days CRPD community awareness and outreach finalized in Mogadishu"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\t\t\t\t\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/somalionlinemedia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/CRPD-O6-08-2019-A4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5093\" width=\"637\" height=\"424\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On Tuesday 06 August 2019 Somalia disability cluster has finalized\n&nbsp;&nbsp;three days CRPD workshop for community awareness\nthe implementation of the convention rights persons with disabilities for the\npeople in the village of Wadajir district Mogadishu <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There training was started on Sunday 04 august 2019 and\nfinished to day on 06 August 2019 in the IEDP center training room where the\ntraining took place the last three days. The participants learnt more about the\nCRPD and the role of the parents for the protection of the PWDs persons with disabilities\nin general&nbsp; the children, youth and the\nold people <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Somali disability cluster with cooperation the UNSOM Human\nrights protection groups organized the training for the 75 persons from the\ngrass root level community mostly families with children. The participants exchanged\ntheir impact after the session in the three days where some of them responded\nthe well their ability to protect&nbsp; PWDs\npersons with disabilities in the community <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The articles give priority in the session were&nbsp; education, health, freedom of expression,\nright to marry, participation of social, economic and political which all were\ngood articles giving hope the PWDs in the community. The people in the workshop\nrealized their role &nbsp;to make changes the\nstigma and discrimination against the PWDs <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most people agree that disability is not in ability and discrimination\nis serotype against the disability people that could be stop. The bad names,\nthe prevention of service delivery and barrier in the averment access the\npublic service provider institutions and building <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This one of the largest CRPD implantation awareness and outreach launched since the Somalia government finished the ratification of the convention the end of the last month weeks ago.
