{"id":4980,"date":"2019-06-21T09:37:14","date_gmt":"2019-06-21T09:37:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/somalionlinemedia.com\/?p=4980"},"modified":"2026-04-16T11:38:45","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T11:38:45","slug":"somalia-government-ratified-the-crpd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/faafitv.com\/?p=4980","title":{"rendered":"Somalia Government ratified the CRPD"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\t\t\t\t\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/somalionlinemedia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Somalia-Presdient-Sign-CRPD-20-june-2019.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4981\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Somalia federal government president H.E Mr. Mohamed\nAbdullahi Farmajo signed the CRPD the united nation convention rights persons\nwith disabilities to be law that came with presidential sign which lead Somalia\nto be part of the international convention of the Persons with disabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;The CPRD Convention&nbsp; rights persons with disabilities is an international\nconvention that protects and promotes the rights and the lives of the PWDs in\nthe world equally with non disabled citizen. &nbsp;&nbsp;Where member\nstate will be responsible the fulfillment of the obligations of the articles in\nthe convention<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Somalia signed the CRPD October 2018,&nbsp; passed the&nbsp;\nfederal government parliament 18 May 2019 and ratification of the&nbsp; Somalia president H. E Mr. Mohamed Abdullahi\nFarmajo which makes official law in Somalia. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The PWDs Persons with Disabilities and Disabled People Organization\nthank to the government &nbsp;for the active\nrole the support of the PWDs and DPOs with law that will provide them\nprotection and promotion in the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Abdullahi Hassan Hussein the Chairperson of the Somalia\nDisability Cluster speaking to the media said, we are very much happy to see\nour struggle for the rights PWDs and DPOs in the last two decades seems to be fruitful\nwith &nbsp;participation of &nbsp;the federal government the ministry of the\nhuman rights, the prime minister, MPs and President. Although PWDs still feel discriminated\nin the national employment and political participation, we are happy the\nprogress going <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ministry of the human rights and women Development Mrs. Deko Yasin and the President H.
