Somalia National journalism bill passed in the upper house

Somalia federal government parliament the upper house is making the third reading for the National journalism bills. The bill is passed by the house of the people the last year 2019 the bill went through consultations with media, journalists, federal state ministries and federal parliament of Somalia community for the social which is preceding the bill in the parliament

The chair of the committee for social for the upper house made the third reading and the changes made the draft submitted and the ministry of journalist passed the house of the people several months ago.

Senator Muse Sudi said we can’t take law that will harm the future our people. the law seem violation of freedom of expression and media active in the community to cover what is noggin the country for the people

Sentor Ashbir Nur the first dept speaker of the upper house raised some question about the media industry establishment, formation of the journalism council and the registration condition for the media certificate and employment for private

Senator Nadir chairperson of the upper house committee social and senator Zamzan the Secretary of the committee social explained the law and told the MPs to make amendment for the future the law

The bill in hot debate where some MPs talked the restriction of the freedom of speech in the country which is representing whole nationwide Somalia.  The MPs passed finally the bill  with member vote 24 yes, no 3 and 1 silent total 28
